Defending champion Koba Shutters of Coach Philip Lim is composed mostly of players from GCC Alumni 40-48 team, will rely on their experience this season as all of the players, except two (JV Ong and Jarred Sy), are thirty-three years old and older. Former league MVP Jerry Ong and last season’s Finals MVP Edwin Herrera parades four new recruits to add more fire power to their already star-studded line up.
Autokid Manila (former Lightforce) of Coach Bryan Lim aims to improve their back-to-back bridesmaid finish by bringing back an in-tack team for this season led by former MVP Patrick Thomas “PT: Chin and the mercurial Mark Choa. Former Mythical Team members Aldrin Yao and Sherwin Yao provide added fire power while Defensive Team member John Paul Chang takes care of the dirty works for Car Dealers.
Carbery Group of Companies (former Haco Swiss Coffee) of Coach Nelson Dy will make another run at the crown parading almost the same team from last season plus some new recruits, most notably Aristotle Chang, the leading point maker for Byzmo last season. Ronald Limsin will be proving that he deserves the MVP trophy he received from the Stallion’s Cup while suiting up for the Grace Alumni 40-above team. Defensive team member Richard Limsin will again be their anchor on defense while Mythical Team Christopher Tiu orchestrates their offense.
Zoom Courier Services (former Garage One) of Coach Johannes Ngo will be once again led by team captain Willaim So and the explosive Stephen Chua as they try to improve their 4th place finish last season. It will be interesting to see how the team will play now without the inside-outside offense of Glendon Co.
Supreme Olympia is out to prove they are the better half of the former Garage One team. Coached by Steven Quan, the team will rely on big man Cary Chua and Jeff Ongteco, steady offense to be provided by Manchesfer Uy and Jason Gooh.
Wishcraft Events of Playing-coach Edmund Tang, one of the pioneer GABL teams is team out on a mission. This season, the Events Specialist will be missing big man Andy Tan, who is still recovering in China. Defensive Team member Jonathan Yu will again lead the way while Mandee Yao and Alex Tan take care of the offensive end.
Noticing their end game problems last season, Byzmo of Coach Maximilian Chua, recruited 7 players from the Grace Alumni 48-above team to give their much needed leadership on the court, hoping this would the key ingredient to their championship quest, as all of the losses suffered by Byzmo last season were only by 4 points or less. The athletic duo of Rex Tan and Adrian Chua will get much needed scoring help form Danny Ching, Ben Ong and former PBA player Kenneth Yap.
Gerry’s Grill will be trying to inch their way to the top, bannered by players who came from back-to-back runners up in the first and second season of GABL. Ace Balagtas and Kenson Ng will once again spearhead the scoring for this team with Aldrich Chan and Christian Cheng doing the outside sniping.
Besman Auto Supply of Paul dela Cruz will try to improve their 8th place finish last season. Ageless transferee Michael Sia will bring his court leadership to team up with Johnson Tan and Christopher Beltran.
Snowbird Sando Bags managed by GAA Executive Vice President Atty. Gabriel Dee, hopes that transferees Marvin Geronimo, Kingslee See and Kenneth dela Cruz will help improve their 9th place finish last season. Resident scorer Lance Dy now has scoring help and can leave the rebounding chores to Pastor Victor Ramoy, Rodney Gonzales and the come-backing Jed Chan. Rendell Ching will be taking on a new task as coach of the Sando Bags makers while he is recovering from ACL injury suffered last December.
Chicboy-Lipton is practically an intact team relying on scoring machine Benhur Quing and outside snipping of Paul Tan. New recruit Lester Sy will give more muscle to Machesteve Uy and Abraham Co
MK Enterprise will be the dark horse for this tournament with their massive frontline of Sydney Abrigo, Lester Abrigo, Irving Dy and Andrew Ngui. Playing coach Maynard Chua is out to prove their pre season win over Wishcraft is no fluke.
